A quick update:
We mailed binders full of documents for our children last Thursday, and they have arrived in Kinshasa, DRC.
Tomorrow (Thursday) at 1 pm there...or 7 am CST...these binders will be taken to the US Embassy in Kinshasa to be dropped off. They will be reviewed by the Embassy over the next few days leading up to an interview appointment that Andy is scheduled to attend at the US Embassy in Kinshasa next Wednesday at 1 pm there...or 7 am here.
While it is wonderful that the binders made it to Congo, they were not mailed complete. Both binders have a few documents that are missing because we did not receive them in time. Additionally, there is a place in each binder for Silas and Mercy's passports to go. As it stands, we are still missing those documents and have not received the passports. These items are very important, and if they do not show up, our binders will not go to the Embassy tomorrow, which means that Andy will not leave Saturday.
I have seen God provide for our needs to this point. It did not seem possible to keep our Embassy date two weeks ago, and God provided just enough to allow us to keep it. And then it did not seem possible to mail the binders last week, and HE made a way.
We must trust in His good plans, and His faithful provision.
Will you please pray with us? Specifically for these documents and passports to be complete, accurate and placed in that binder before 7 am CST tomorrow? Please pray that they are dropped off and taken by an Embassy employee who doesn't ask a lot of questions of the pastor dropping them off for us.
Everything with adoption seems to be at the very last minute...and these needs are no exception. We covet your prayers!
